Peter Gorkiewicz

From the frozen reaches of northern Michigan, Pete has spent the past twenty years wandering the world, teaching math and physics in Russia, Ireland, Colombia, Chile, and now Switzerland. He and his wife stepped away from land for two years, sailing their catamaran through the Caribbean and across the Pacific, where his STEM expertise came alive in the boat’s energy systems, navigation, and maintenance. Pete delights in discovering the mathematics and physics he teaches written into the fabric of the world itself, in the camber of a paraglider’s wing, the vectored pull of a kitesurfing kite, and the quiet equations that shape a life of adventure.
